The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure’s Sport Development Unit is pleased to announce that the new autumn term time programme has now started at the National Sports Centre.
The comprehensive range of sporting activities includes cricket, disability football, indoor football, netball, hockey, athletics, badminton, squash and multi skill sessions. These all take place between 4.15 – 6.00pm from Monday to Saturday. All abilities are very welcome and sessions cater for children in school years reception – year 2, and years 3 – 9. The cost is ?1.00 per session.
Hon David Cretney MHK, Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure said “Following our very successful summer schemes the Department is pleased to offer a good range of sporting activities for all ages during the new term time period. I encourage parents and children to take advantage of these wonderful opportunities to stay active and learn new skills”
Sport Development Officer Gianni Epifani explained:
“The term time programme offers a good opportunity for young people to enjoy sport in a fun and safe environment. It’s really easy, all you have to do is turn up - there is no pre-application required”
