Hit and Run Road Traffic Accident Douglas Police are investigating a hit and run road traffic accident which happened at approximately 5.30pm, Thursday 23rd September 2010. A Black coloured Renault Clio was travelling along Upper Dukes Road, Douglas towards Victoria Avenue when another vehicle, similar in appearance to a Subaru Impreza, dark in colour, has pulled out and driven towards the Clio causing the driver to apply their brakes sharply. As this vehicle passed the Clio, it has made contact causing the wing mirror casing of the Clio to break. The driver of the other vehicle is described as male, with dark hair, wearing a white shirt and dark coloured jacket. Police would like to speak with this male regarding the incident or anyone who may have witnessed the collision and are asked to call Police Headquarters on 631212. -------------------- Criminal Damage Police are appealing for information in relation to an act of criminal damage to a motor vehicle which occurred in Market Place, Peel. A black saloon vehicle has been parked in the Commissioners car park Market Place, Peel when the bonnet of the vehicle has been damaged. The owner parked vehicle at 11 pm on Saturday 18th September and returned to the damaged vehicle at 8 am on Monday 20th September. The Western Neighbourhood Policing Team are appealing for any witnesses to contact Peel Police Station on 01624 842208, or alternatively Douglas Police Headquarters on 01624 631212. The officer in charge of the investigation is Pc 262 Gascoyne, based at Peel Police Station. - Ends -
