Author Frances Edmonds was the special guest of pharmaceutical company Medis which held its annual celebration dinner at the Tower of London. Guests received a tour of the tower, a private viewing of the Crown Jewels and an opportunity to witness the locking up of Keys Ceremony. Stuart Colligon, Managing Director of Medis, said:
“We wanted to do something fun and memorable and the choice of the Tower of London certainly paid off. It was a fantastic experience and remarkable to be able to hold our celebration in such an iconic venue. The evening gave us and our customers an opportunity to meet and network in a casual environment. Furthermore, it gave us the chance to reinforce the message that Medis’ commitment to the UK market remains strong, despite the extremely challenging market conditions. Frances Edmonds was also an extremely charismatic and well chosen speaker.”
The evening was rounded off by the guest speaker who is a best-selling author, acknowledged expert in the business of cross-cultural communication, and married to former England Test cricketer Phil Edmonds. Frances was also voted Britain’s most entertaining female after-dinner speaker in a recent survey by The Times. She specialises in working with multinational and multi-cultural organisations as both a keynote speaker and moderator.
Medis organised the event as a thank you to its UK-based customers and an opportunity to update them on recent developments within the company. Last year’s event was held at St Paul’s Cathedral and this year the company wanted an equally prestigious venue.
The feedback from guests at the Tower of London event was very positive, and Medis is already looking at venues for next year and determined to make it equally impressive.
Part of the worldwide Actavis Group, Medis specialises in the sales and marketing of generic pharmaceuticals in the British Isles and a number of other European markets.
