Bus for Buchan

by isleofman.com 23rd September 2010
Mrs Ann Atkinson, Chairperson of ‘Friends at Buchan’ together with previous ‘Friends at Buchan’ committee members, Mrs Linda Alton-Heath and Mrs Susan Nicholson, recently handed over the keys of a brand new minibus to Mrs Alison Hedley, Headteacher of The Buchan School, and Buchan pupils from the Pre-Prep department. The minibus was donated by ‘Friends at Buchan’ after a series of fundraising events that they have held over the last two years, including the main event, a Gourmet Dinner in the Barrovian Hall at King William’s College in March of this year at which more than ?8,000 was raised. The new minibus will be used by the Buchan for school trips, such as the Pre-Prep pupils’ recent visit to the Wildlife Park. The new bus will be a great benefit to the Buchan School pupils as it will allow them to explore other parts of the island for educational trips. - Ends -
