Police Command Vehicle in Christian Road Douglas
Police are investigating an assault which occurred on the morning of Sunday 19th September 2010 at Christian Road, Douglas. Whilst Police are conducting their enquiries, the Police Command vehicle has been parked in the area to provide visible reassurance to the local community.
Since the command vehicle has been in Christian Road, a thirty five year old Douglas male has now been arrested and is being questioned in relation to the incident.
No other persons are being sought in connection to the incident.

Hit & Run Road Traffic Collision - 19 September
The police are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision that occurred outside Whispering Trees Ballaugh Glen. Between 12.00noon Sunday 19th September and 17.00hrs Monday 20th September an unknown vehicle has reversed into the stone wall of the property causing this to collapse. Remains of the rear lights have been recovered and it was noted that the lights are of a unique design which may help identify the vehicle.

Hit & Run Road Traffic Collision - 20 September
The police are investigating a hit and run road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 9.45hpm on Monday 20th September 2010 between Regaby Cross Roads and Andreas Village. A red Citroen C2 hatch was driving towards Ramsey when a vehicle in the opposite carriageway collided with the Citroen causing minor damage. The driver of this vehicle failed to stop.

Attempted Burglary - 17 September
Police are appealing for witnesses to a report of an attempted burglary in Sulby Road, Willaston at around 1.30pm on Friday 17th September 2010.
An unidentified person, possibly male, and described as wearing a light coloured top and white footwear is alleged to have attempted to enter a flat in Sulby Road by trying to prise the door chain off the latch.
Constable Charlene Dooley said “Although no access to the premises was gained and no property removed I would appeal to any witnesses or anyone who has any information about this incident to make contact with me at Willaston Police Station on 01624 631212.

Hit & Run Road Traffic Collision - Peel Road, Douglas - 20 September
Between the hours of 10.30am and 12.05pm on the morning of Monday 20th September 2010 an unknown vehicle has collided with a black unattended scooter which was parked up in a side lane off Peel Road, Douglas near to the junction of Railway Terrace, Douglas.
This collision resulted in considerable damage being caused to the scooter and has resulted in the owner having to pay out a substantial amount of money in repair costs. It would have been obvious to the driver of the offending vehicle that they had been in collision with the scooter, due to the level of damage sustained most likely to both vehicles.
Police can confirm that the offending vehicle failed to leave their details at the scene and that following the collision someone will have had to pick the scooter off the floor in order to stand it back up.
