Archery Update

The lovely Manx weather put hold to the fita 900 round this week with the torrential rain during the night and morning push everyone indoors to shot some practice arrows in the social club at Ronaldsway. Next week's round is the last of the outdoor season and is the prestige’s Long Haul Challenge and this round is a challenge over three distances and penalties for using certain bits of equipment over the last four years there has been four different winners, weather permitting as normal field setup at 9:30 for a 10:30 start. The Isle of Man Archery club would like to send their good luck wishes to four members of the club who will be competing in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi; Adrian Bruce gents compound archer, Sarah Rigby ladies compound archer and the Island's only grand master bowman classified archer, Aalin George the teenage sensation who is part of the Team GB junior squad, and Mr Archery Peter Mumford archery team coach. They are all part of the biggest ever Manx squad of 33 athletes and 20 officials. Ends
