Police in the South of the Island are investigating an act of criminal damage which occurred to a Commemorative Plaque on the fencing of the Children’s Playpark at Ballanoa Meadows in Santon, on or just prior to the 24th August 2010. It would appear that someone has used considerable force to damage this plaque which has caused unnecessary expense to Santon Commissioners, and disrupted the use of the play park to the local children.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have any information which would assist in identifying the culprit.

Police in the SNPT are investigating the disappearance of a Childs Pedal Cycle from outside a house in Port St Mary. It was taken overnight 28th August 2010 from the front garden of a house.
The bike is quite distinctive in colour and is called an Apollo XC.20 in light blue and pink.
Police would like to take this opportunity to remind people to take appropriate steps to secure their property to prevent the loss of such items. Often bikes are stolen only to be found a short distance away. Using padlocks or securing the bikes in a shed or garage overnight will prevent pedal cycles being taken. In addition, if your bike is stolen or lost please contact your local police station to inform them as they very well may have found it and be able to reunite you with your bike once proof of ownership is given.
