Archery Report

by isleofman.com 14th September 2010
week saw everyone doing the Fita 70 metre round and only two competitors opting to do the double Adrian Bruce and Kirsten George. George picking up a junior club record for her trouble but down to the 720 rounds and it was close in both gents compound and recurve disciplines with two very close battles between Adrian Bruce and Peter Mumford with Bruce edging it by six points and in the recurve battle between Michael Tancurin and Tony Hartley all level till the last dozen arrows and the pressure most of got to Hartley for him to drop two arrows and get the runners up spot by seven points. This was great practice for Adrian Bruce, Sarah Rigby, Aalin George and Peter Mumford ahead of the Commonwealth Games now only two weeks away for the team.
