Request For Information

by isleofman.com 6th September 2010
Police are requesting for witnesses for a theft from a car which occurred at 0110 on Monday 06/09/2010 on Coronation terrace, Strang. 3 males were seen to be trying car door handles and then entering any unlocked vehicles and searching through the contents. All males were around 15 – 25 years of age, wearing white & black hooded tops & all of a slim build. A witness has confronted these males at which point they have ran off with stolen property. Several items have been taken from one vehicle and Police would like to hear if there are any other victims of theft in the area who have not already contacted them. “I would like to take this opportunity to remind vehicle owners to lock their cars and make sure valuables are not left on show, opportunistic crime like this is easily avoided by taking simple security measures.” Anyone with information is asked to contact PC 272 Jon CRETNEY at Onchan Police Station on 675190 or Douglas Police HQ on 631212.
