Dan Kneen Wins Croft Round of BSB Fuchs-Silkolene Supersport Cup

Dan Kneen scored another race win this weekend in the "Fuchs-silkolene British Super sport "cup" round at Croft race circuit in Yorkshire. taking his overall position to joint 3rd in the cup championship with two rounds remaining. Despite sliding off in the wet on Fridays free practice , Saturdays combined qualifying saw 23 year old Manx man Dan, lying quickest of the cup contenders in 18th position just behind ex British Super sport Champion and super bike rider Karl Harris. Race day, and an incident packed super sport race saw Dan take 14th overall and win the privateers cup for the second time, his first victory was at Thruxton in April. "I was getting held up by Jamie Hamilton in 13th on the much faster gearlink Kawasaki and was on the grass once trying to overtake him as I knew the other cup riders were catching up and had a couple of other hairy moments during the race to maintain my position !" said Dan Trailing championship leader Pat McDougall by only 13 points, Dan still has a possible 50 points at his disposal to take overall victory in this years championship.
