Dan Kneen Takes Second Place Overall In British Championship

by isleofman.com 13th October 2010
Marks Bloom Racing’s Daniel Kneen took second place in the Fuchs-Silkolene Supersport Cup championship at the weekends final round at Oulton park in cheshire. The Braddan rider went into the weekend joint second in the series and only two points behind the leader but due to bike problems that hindered his qualifying session and a difficult race he claimed second overall. Dan has stood on the podium five times this season which included two wins in addition to scoring main championship points at four of the rounds. At present no plans for next year have been made but he definitely aims to return to the BSB paddock in 2011. Dan has a confirmed ride with the superstock 1000 BMW of DMR ( Duffus, Morrison Racing) at the Macau GP which takes place 18-21 November 2010. “It will be good, a first trip for me, it will be a good experience and I am looking forward to it. He will also represent the isle of man team at the Celtic Match Races at Jurby airfield on the 23rd and 24th October . Dan would like to thank his sponsors for their help in 2010 Marks Bloom Accountants, Slick Performance, Manx Gas, IOM Steam Packet, London Suzuki centre, Wemoto, Speedycom, Paul Dedman, Leovince, Hein Gericke chester, AM Leathers, Goodridge, Quine and Cubbon and especially my mechanic Wayne Engerton.
