Manx Yanks Auto Club (The Island’s American car club) is celebrating it’s 5th Anniversary on Sunday 31st October with a “Drive n Dine” event. They are meeting at 12 noon at the Grandstand for a drive out to the Glen Helen Inn for Sunday lunch.
The Glen Helen was the venue for our first ever meet on a cold and miserable Wednesday night in 2005.
The club has grown over the last 5 years, and recently an offshoot of the Club, the Manx Drag Racing Association, held it’s first “Drag n Drift” event at Jurby with more drag racing planned for 2011.
We know there are still plenty of “Manx Yanks” out there who we have not yet managed to make contact with. This is an appeal to all those owners of American cars to join us.
All American Classic, Modern and Muscle cars, Hot Rods, Trucks n Vans, all welcome.
