Hit and Run Injury RTC - Woodbourne Road - 16/10/10

Officers from the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating a report of a hit and run road traffic collision. The collision occurred at approximately 5.15pm on Saturday 16th October 2010 at the pedestrian crossing on Woodbourne Road, Douglas. At the time of the collision a female has been crossing the road when a blue coloured Renault Clio travelling from the direction of St. Ninians has driven over her foot. The female was not seriously injured, but was conveyed to Noble’s Hospital. Police Constable Jamie Watterson of the Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team states “This could have potentially been a very serious collision, but thankfully the female has come away with only minor injuries. At the time of the collision there would have been lots of traffic and pedestrians in the area. I would strongly urge anyone with information to please come forward.” If anyone has any information regarding the collision to contact Douglas Police Headquarters on 631212 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
