Castletown Police are investigating a burglary which occurred sometime between 3pm on Saturday 9th and 9am on Monday 11th October, from a property under renovation on the Main Road in Santon.
The persons responsible forced their way into a secured garage by smashing a window on the side of the building. Once inside they have forced the garage door open from the within; damaging it in the process.
They have then proceeded to take a number or workman’s tools from within, including a bright orange cement mixer (without a stand), an orange chainsaw, a strimmer, and a red and silver Honda petrol powered lawn mower.
To carry out this crime to offenders would have had to use a vehicle of some kind, more than likely a large van or pickup truck. It is suspected that the offenders will try to sell these items on to other persons within the building and gardening trades.
If anyone has been offered these items, or has any information in relation to this or similar incidents, they are urged to contact Police Constable 167 Lee Wright at Castletown Police Station, or alternatively give their information anonymously via the crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.

Castletown Police are investigating a theft which occurred sometime between 2.30pm on Tuesday 12th and 12.30pm on Wednesday 13th October, from a boat moored in Derby Haven bay.
The persons responsible would have used tools to remove the Stern drive of a Ford 1.8 Diesel Engine from the rear of the 18ft Teal boat. Unless this part has been taken as a direct replacement it will be useless as the drive shaft and gear box for it are still with the boat.
The stern drive is white/grey in colour, the swing arm has a weld mark from where it has been repaired and one of the blades is worn out.
If anyone has been offered this item, or has any information in relation to this crime, they are urged to contact Police Constable 167 Lee Wright at Castletown Police Station, or alternatively give their information anonymously via the crimestoppers hotline 0800 555 111.
