Ramsey Horticultural Society’s latest initiative, the Ramsey Gardening Club, is to host its inaugural meeting on Monday October 25. The meeting will be held at Quayle Hall, Waterloo Road, Ramsey starting at 7.30pm and will provide an opportunity to discuss the club’s future programme of events and for members to share ideas, materials and produce. Chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners Captain Nigel Malpass said: ‘Ramsey has a wealth of gardening talent, as evidenced by our recent Ramsey in Bloom event and the town’s success in 2009 when it secured a Britain in Bloom silver gilt medal. The forming of Ramsey Garden Club is yet another demonstration of the strong sense of community and environmental awareness that exists in our town and on behalf of Ramsey Town Commissioners I wish the club every success.’ A ?2 entry fee will be charged.
