ManxBootCamps.com Fitness Boot Camps To Celebrate Halloween with their Halloween Total Body PUMP-kin Workout for Charity
Douglas, October 20th, 2010- Local personal training company “Manx Boot Camps” will be holding a Fat Loss Halloween Extravaganza. Unlike the usual boot camp workouts, participants must bring a suitably-sized pumpkin as their “ticket” through the door. The central piece of equipment throughout the workout will be the pumpkin.
This event creates an environment unlike any other fitness boot camp on the Island. “Working out on a consistent basis is not easy,” says Andrew Wallis, owner of AW Fitness Consulting (the team behind ManxBootCamps.com. “We created this event to bring out the kid in all of our boot campers.” To create a fun and playful atmosphere for the participants, the workouts are run to music that provide fat-melting interval training instructions and countdowns for the boot campers. This way, the instructor is able to focus on coaching and technique versus looking at the clock.
ManxBootCamps.com claim there is more to the PUMP-kin workout than just having fun. They hope it adds a sense of community to their boot camps which will in turn, give clients the support they need to accomplish their fat loss goals. They also want to encourage their clients to think outside of the box when it comes to fitness and nutrition. “So many people complain that they don’t have a gym membership or they are busy too busy to workout. Well, in this one workout, we are able to show our clients that they don’t need expensive equipment by using a random piece of fruit. Now, I am not saying they have to use pumpkins as equipment, but they can use the things they already own to create a workout in their own home. They can play games with their kids if they have no other time, but at least they are making the time to fit in some exercise everyday as a habit,” says Andrew Wallis, founder of ManxBootCamps.com
This year the Halloween Boot Camp will raise money for the Oskars Dreams Charity. Participants are encouraged submit donations. The Total Body Pump-kin Workout is open to the public and welcomes those who are new to the boot camp environment to join in. Participants are asked to bring their own pumpkin and are welcome to wear a costume if they choose. The workout will be held on Thursday October 28th at 6:30pm at Murrays Road School, Douglas.
