The Chartered Institute of Marketing Isle of Man Branch is delighted to confirm its third series of one-day workshops for local marketing professionals. The CPD accredited workshops Search Engine Optimisation and Market Research will be held at St John’s Mill, near Tynwald Mills, and will be delivered by visiting CIM accredited course directors. The Search Engine Optimisation workshop will be held on Thursday 25th November and will provide marketers with an invaluable understanding of how to compete and succeed using search engine marketing and the difference between SEO and paid searches. CIM Isle of Man Chair Cathy Cowin said: “Nearly all searches for new products and services involve the web at some stage. In fact, it’s hard to imagine a world without search engines to help us find what we need, when we need it. It’s important to use proven techniques and tools to maximise opportunities to direct your customers to relevant pages. This invaluable workshop will help all marketers to understand this process.” On Tuesday 7th December a workshop on Market Research will be staged. This course will provide delegates with the confidence to assess what is realistic, what is not, and how best to deal with requests. Cathy Cowin added: “Marketing personnel are frequently given responsibility for market research without specific training and yet are expected to respond to a torrent of demands to ‘see what you can find out’ about a host of topics!
