Licensed Victuallers Support Peel Lifeboat

Members of The Licensed Victuallers Golf Society recently presented a cheque for ?300 to Herbert Watterson of Peel lifeboat. The money was raise from a golf competition held at Peel golf course for the Tom Porter Trophy. John Delaney of the society explained that before his death Tom was a great supporter of the lifeboat and it was thought fitting that the cheque should go to Peel. Captain of the society Stan Puzzar presented the cheque to Herbert who thanked the society on behalf of the lifeboat telling those present about a rescue carried out only a week before in strong winds by the Peel boat.
