Sefton Staff Take Part In Big Tidy Up!

by isleofman.com 22nd October 2010
Staff from the Sefton Group hit the beach to take part in the Big Tidy Up, an annual attempt to clear our towns and countryside of litter. Organised by Keep Britain Tidy, the event sees companies, organisations and individuals do their bit to clear the clutter. More than 30 Sefton Group staff tackled Douglas beach and collected a van-load of litter. Sefton Group Director David Woodiwiss said: ‘The Big Tidy Up is a fantastic initiative and while this was our first year taking part, we’ll certainly look to get involved again. Douglas beach and its promenades are such a focal point of the town and it’s important that everyone does their part in trying to keep it clean. ‘The Big Tidy Up works on two levels – the Sefton Group and our staff have the opportunity to give something back to the community, but it also works as a great team-building and bonding exercise for staff.’ The Big Tidy Up was first held in September 2008.
