Presentations To Peel Lifeboat Members

PRESENTATIONS TO PEEL LIFEBOAT MEMBERS Paul Cain mechanic and relief coxswain was presented with a certificate for services to the RNLI t at a crew meeting at Peel lifeboat house recently. His award was presented by Adele Fuller, Area Fund Raising Manager from the regional office. Paul was recently involved as coxswain in a tricky rescue in high winds when a yacht was in difficulties off Peel. At the recent all Island meeting Jackie O’ Halloran of Peel Ladies Guild was awarded the bronze medal by Adele Fuller for services to the lifeboat. Jackie ran the London marathon raising many thousands for the lifeboat and works with the other ladies on all the normal fund raising activities around Peel. Jackie also supports the crew by baking for the crew almost every time they are at sea. Another award presented at the all Island meeting was a silver medal to Christine Staples of Port St Mary station who was nominated for an award by Peel for her support in supplying shop facilities for the various functions held by Peel ladies.
