Police are appealing for the owners of a black and brown coloured Rottweiler to come forwards after a 14 year old girl was bitten while jogging in the Governor’s Hill area of Douglas. The girl has been left with a large bruise and puncher wounds to her forearm, and was shaken by the incident. The dog was being walked by a male and female in their mid-twenties at the time and was on lead being held by the male. ANYONE WHO WITNESSED THE ACCIDENT AND WHO HAS INFORMATION PLEASE CONTACT POLICEHEADQUARTERS ON 631212. Ends ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Police in the Southern Neighbourhood Policing Team are investigating a hit and run road traffic accident which occurred in Spaldrick Dip on the upper promenade in Port Erin on the 22nd of October 2010. At that time a vehicle parked in the area was struck by another vehicle. The other vehicle has left the area without reporting the accident. Anybody who may have seen or heard anything which can assist Police in tracing the offending vehicle is asked to contact Port Erin Police on 832222 or speak with any Police officer”.
