Constable Ben HORAN from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident where a grey coloured handbag containing a purse with ?140 in it, had been taken from inside a property on Lord Street in DOUGLAS.
There was no forced entry to the property, and the incident occurred between 5.15pm and 8.00pm on Wednesday 27th October 2010.
PC HORAN said “The incident has occurred in a house on a busy road at a busy time, and Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have been involved in, or seen anything regarding the incident”.

Constable Ben HORAN from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating an incident where a young boy aged 12yrs was walking with his friend in Strand Street, DOUGLAS, when somebody snatched a ?5 note from his hand.
The incident occurred at about 2pm on Tuesday 26th October 2010, around the area of Marks & Spencer and Regent Street. The boy was walking with his friend with the money in his hand, when one of 3 males, possibly in their late teens, snatched the money and ran off in the direction of Villias Square behind KFC. One of the males was wearing a multicoloured hooded top one of the other males was wearing a green hooded top.
PC HORAN said “Incidents like this are rare, and Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have been involved in, or seen the incident.”

Pc 262 Gascoyne of Western Neighbourhood Policing Team is appealing for information in relation to a hit and run road traffic collision that occurred in Peel on Sunday 24th October. At approximately 7 pm on that date, a vehicle has driven over a child’s BMX bicycle outside the Spar garage, Athol Street, Peel. It is believed that the offending vehicle may be a red car which has been parked outside the front of the shop. Pc Gascoyne is keen to speak to anyone who has knowledge about the incident and believes that the driver of the vehicle would be aware of the considerable damaged caused to the BMX. Anyone who is able to help the investigation is urged to contact Peel Police Station on 842208.
