3 Hits A Magic Number!

by isleofman.com 28th October 2010
It’s official, Isle of Man radio listeners are tuning into 3FM for longer! The latest industry listening figures also prove that 3FM is the most listened to radio station for 15-54 year olds in the Isle of Man. Data released today by RAJAR (Radio Joint Audience Research), the official body in charge of measuring radio audiences in the UK, has once again revealed that 3FM has more listeners on the Island than any of the national BBC radio stations and Classic FM. There are currently 320 individual stations included in the survey and its findings are published every quarter. 3FM has just celebrated its sixth birthday and achieving its biggest ever market share is a great way to mark the occasion. Max Hailey, 3FM’s Managing Director said ‘It’s just a fantastic result. We’re the number one station in our target market with our highest ever market share. Our more music and less talk format continues to be popular with both listeners and advertisers and with recent changes to our schedule including the introduction of Jason, Kelly and the morning crew and Kevin Ford in the afternoon we hope to continue to build on this result in the future.’ ENDS
