On Friday the 29th October 2010 at approximately 2220hrs in the evening a disturbance involving three males occurred in a the side lane of the Youth Club (Cafe Lare) on Lord Street Douglas. As a result, a 17 yr old male sustained non-serious injuries from being assaulted. It is known that a number of younger persons were in the area at the time, as well as patrons from The Albert Hotel and The Old Market Inn. Constable 121 Barry Hand of Lord Street Police Station is appealing for the witnesses to this incident to come forward. 2 males have been arrested and now bailed pending further enquiries. ENDS ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Shortly after Midnight last night Saturday 31st October, in the downstairs area of FIESTA HAVANA, Wellington Street, Douglas a male was punched to the floor in what appeared to be an unprovoked assault. The male was injured and attended hospital for treatment. It is thought that someone will have witnessed this assault in the public domain and Police urge anyone with any information to come forward. In particular, Police are keen to speak with a male in his 20’s wearing a white dress shirt with chequered pattern who may have been involved. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, Could they please contact Police Constable Sam CANNELL at Lord Street Police station on 631212. Police have had overwhelming cooperation from the Public regarding recent incidents and would like to thank them for their ongoing help and support with matters of this nature. ENDS -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Police are appealing for witnesses after criminal damage was caused to a Yellow Toyota MR2 which was left parked on Queens Promenade between 8:30pm on Friday 29th October 2010 and 10:00am on Saturday 30th October 2010. The vehicle has had the passenger side wing mirror smashed off and the bodywork has been dented as a result of somebody walking over it. Anybody who may have witnessed the incident is urged to contact PC 248 Christie Morgan at Lord Street Police station on 631212. Ends
