Police in Douglas are investigating a Road Traffic collision that occurred at the bottom of Broadway, Douglas at around 6:30pm on Monday 1st November 2010.
The wing mirror of an unknown vehicle, which came past the Villa Marina colonnade before turning up Broadway, has collided with the wing mirror of a Silver coloured Mercedes Taxi coming from the opposite direction. This has caused damage to the taxi’s wing mirror.
Constable Cullivan who is looking into the matter suggested “Someone may have not realised that they had caused the damage, especially if they were in a large vehicle, but there is damage and I would like to now speak to the driver to resolve the matter. It may be that the driver stopped initially but by the time the taxi turned around back to where it happened, the other vehicle had gone”.
Anyone with information regarding this incident can contact PC 256 Damien Cullivan, at Lord Street Police Station.
