Douglas Police are investigating an assault that took place at Colours Nightclub at approximately 1.30am Sunday 31st October 2010. A 20 year old Douglas man received facial injuries after an altercation in the area of the dance floor. It is alleged that he was struck in the face, and that the man suspected of the assault was subsequently ejected from the Nightclub by Security Staff. Police are asking for anybody who witnessed the incident to come forward as soon as possible. Anyone with information is asked to contact Pc277 Steve Giddins or Pc152 Graham Corran at Lord Street Police Station. Following Police enquiries a Braddan man was subsequently arrested and interviewed concerning the incident . He was later placed on Police bail, without charge, pending further enquiries. Despite there having been an arrest in this case, Police would like to speak with anyone who saw what happened. The young man that was struck, attended hospital the next day and was released following treatment. ENDS
