Junior Achievement Isle of Man and OSA Make ‘Progress’ Possible

by isleofman.com 9th November 2010
If they’re good enough for Gary, Jason & Co, then they’re good enough for Junior Achievement Isle of Man. Take That 2, billed as ‘the UK’s number one Take That tribute band’ are to perform at the Gaiety Theatre on Friday February 11, with all proceeds from the event, which is being sponsored by OSA Recruitment and supported by 3FM, going to Junior Achievement Isle of Man…Good news for the many fans unable to buy a ticket for Take That’s Progress UK and Ireland tour that sold out in just two days. The Gaiety show in February will be the first time Take That 2 has appeared in the Island and, as Junior Achievement Isle of Man chief executive Sue Cook says, the band’s timing could not have been better. ‘With Take That’s Progress tour selling out in record time, leaving so many fans disappointed, Junior Achievement and OSA are offering as close as you can get to the real thing - Take That 2. ‘This band has performed at Take That’s after show party at the O2 arena and, out of all the many Take That tributes, Take That 2 were selected to star in the “Back for Good” stage show that’s been touring the UK this year. ‘No need to travel off Island…and a great Christmas gift idea – tickets for Take That 2 next February. And at the same time as enjoying what promises to be a fantastic show, you’ll be supporting Junior Achievement Isle of Man. ‘All proceeds from the show will go to Junior Achievement Isle of Man, a Manx-registered charity that helps young people in primary and secondary education. ‘In a rapidly changing world, it’s important that our young people are equipped with a range of life skills that will help them long after they leave education. ‘Junior Achievement programmes help more than 4,000 young people in education across the Isle of Man every year. They are designed to help children to increase their self esteem and confidence; learn how to manage their finances; develop team-working skills; understand how the world of business works and how to transfer the skills learnt in education into their life once they finish school. ‘Each year Junior Achievement Isle of Man needs to raise ?300,000, which helps cover the cost of recruiting and training more than 300 volunteers and delivering programmes at no cost to the schools.’ Tickets for Take That 2’s show at the Gaiety Theatre on Friday February 11 are ?20 each and on sale at www.villagaiety.com, the Welcome Centre at the Sea Terminal and at the Villa Marina box office.
