Diesel Oil Thefts

by isleofman.com 10th November 2010
The NNPT at Ramsey are seeking information which may assist in their investigations into two separate incidents of theft of Diesel in the north of the island. Firstly, a large quantity of both red and normal diesel has been stolen from oil tanks at Glascoe Beg Farm, Nassau Road, Bride. This may have happened over a period of time during the past six weeks. The second incident involves the forcing of a fuel cap of a wagon parked at Island Aggregates yard at The Point of Ayre and the fuel tank subsequently emptied of diesel. This incident happened overnight, Monday 8th November to Tuesday 9th November 2010. Anybody who thinks that they may be able to assist with either of these investigations is urged to contact Ramsey Police Station on 812234 for the attention of PC KELLY. This is a timely reminder to any persons with outdoor fuel stores to take stock of the security of their tanks to reduce further opportunistic thefts of oil. ENDS.
