by isleofman.com 12th November 2010
Throughout the night officers of the constabulary in conjunction with staff from the D.O.I and the M.E.A have attended to a number of incidents involving trees having fallen due to the adverse weather conditions and damage to power cables. Only two roads remain closed at this time:- Michael Street peel – closed till 08:30hrs due to falling slates from properties The Promenade, Port Erin – Closed till 08:00 collapsed fencing protecting an area of missing wall. Both road closures will be reviewed as soon as possible in order to reduce any inconvenience to the public. Advice to motorists As people take to the roads this morning we would remind them to be observant with regard to debris that may be on the roads and to drive in accordance with the conditions. ENDS
