Theft of Poppy Box, Maughold Church; Generous Contribution From Govt Dept

Following a recent “dress down day”, staff at Companies Registry, Department of Economic Development at Finch Hill House generously donated all monies raised to the Royal British Legion, following the theft of a Poppy Appeal collection box from Maughold Church on 11th November. Department staff were so disgusted by news of the theft they decided to present their fundraising efforts totalling ?103 to the Royal British Legion, to make up for the donations lost as a result of the offence. Police are still seeking those responsible and are appealing for anyone with information to contact Constable Creer at Ramsey Police Station on 812234. ENDS
