Essential Manx Gas Work Completed On Schedule

by isleofman.com 19th November 2010
Essential work by Manx Gas on bringing mains gas to a section of Old Laxey Hill in Laxey has been completed on schedule and this stretch of road will reopen to traffic today (Friday). The next phase of the project at Croit Y Quill and the Old Saints Park areas of Laxey will start on Monday, 22 November. “This will require us to continue the works along the main road at South Cape/Fair Hill for approximately two weeks and this section will need to be controlled using traffic lights,” said Robert Gardner, engineering manager for Manx Gas. Mr Gardner added that from December 3 to 17th Manx Gas will be working up the hill from the main road to the bottom of Ballacollister Heights with traffic diversions and two-way traffic on sections of Croit y Quill Road. “We apologise in advance for any disruption these all important infrastructure improvement works may cause,” he added. Any further information or queries relating to the work should be made to John McCoubrey at Manx Gas on 644425. ENDS
