At 6.20pm Saturday 20th November officers of The Drug Trafficking Unit raided an address on Douglas Promenade. What is believed to be heroin, with a street value in the region of ?5,000 was recovered. Two males aged 20 and 21 years from the Merseyside area have been arrested for offences relating to the importation and supply of heroin as well as money laundering. Detective Sergeant Allan Thompson of the Drug Trafficking Unit said “This is the culmination of an intelligence led operation targeting those dealing drugs on the Isle of Man and living off the profits of their illicit activity. As well as taking drugs out of the hands of dealers we are also focused on taking their assets and investigating how they get money off the Island.” ENDS
