Diversity Drop In

by isleofman.com 22nd November 2010
The Isle of Man Constabulary continues its work with diverse groups with a drop in focusing on issues of LGBT, Disability, Race, Faith and Nationality. The next drop in will be held at Ballacloan School, Desmesne Road on Thursday 25th November 2010 at 6:30PM. All members of the public are invited to attend and there will be break off groups focusing on the strands above. Inspector Phil Drowley – Disability strand says: “ After listening to several people who have informed us of the difficulties that can be faced due to a wide range of disabilities my team and I wish to invite more people effected in the community we serve in order that we can assist them as police officers and therefore deliver a better service. Inspector Mark Britton says “We have already done some work with some of the key members of the community in respect of the strand of Race, Faith and Nationality. We want to hear from anyone who has not had the opportunity to voice any opinions or tell us about any issues that directly affect them. The last meeting was well attended and we want to continue these drop ins focusing on having clear links with members of the community whether that be in respect of faith, nationality or race. Come along and see us. Speak with us, we will listen.” This is an open invite to all people to come and speak to, and engage with the Constabulary. ENDS
