At approximately 10:20pm on Wednesday 24th November a taxi has been caused to drive off the road when being overtaken by a vehicle travelling at high speed. This occurred on the Castletown Road approaching Port St. Mary from Douglas. As a result the taxi, a Grey Ford Mondeo, hit a dry stone wall causing damage to the vehicle’s bodywork The police are appealing for anybody with any information on this event to come forward. If anybody has information please contact PC 277 Steve GIDDINS at Lord Street Police Station on 631212. Ends
