CYG2011 Tosha Volunteers Needed!

by isleofman.com 30th November 2010
In less than 300 days the people of the Commonwealth will descend on the Isle of Man for the 4th Commonwealth Youth Games. The eyes of the Commonwealth will be firmly fixed on the Island when the Games take place between 7th and 13th September 2011. To date all 71 Nations of the Commonwealth have indicated that they will be sending competitors for what is sure to be a fantastic sporting event. To make these a Games that the whole Island can be proud of, the CYG2011 Organising Committee need the help of everyone interested in helping out as a Games volunteer. One of the most fun jobs is taking on the role of the Games Mascot, Tosha. Leading up to and particularly during the week of the Games Tosha will have a busy diary, greeting our visitors, visiting all sporting venues, keeping the competitors and spectators entertained. To achieve this, the CYG2011 Organising Committee need a pool of 20 volunteers aged over 18 and in good physical health who are willing to dress up in the costume and bring Tosha to life! If you would like to volunteer and be considered for this important role for any of the days, please visit our website www.cyg2011.com and fill out an on-line application form or phone the CYG2011 office on 01624 662011 and a form will be posted to you.
