Manx Students Complete Space EMBA

The first ever Executive MBA in Space Management was recently completed by a small group of students from around the world including three from the Isle of Man. The program, offered by the International Space University in Strasbourg, France, consisted of 6 modules over 18 months. Each of the modules were undertaken in different locations including Space Policy and Space Law at George Washington University in Washington DC and Space Commerce and Economics at the International Business School here in the Isle of Man. The graduation took place on 19th November 2010 in Strasbourg, France. The ceremony was attended by Alex Downie MLC as well as international academics and industry professionals. Isle of Man students Michelle Mendes, Dr. Helmut Kessler (Valedictorian) and Carla Sharpe along with 7 others from around the world now hold an Executive MBA in Space Management. SES Satellite Leasing Ltd was proud sponsor of two of the Isle of Man graduates. Carla Sharpe commented on the course: “The ISU EMBA is an essential tool for a career in space business. I would describe the experience as life-changing and invaluable.” Ends
