On Sunday 5th December 2010 at about 4.00pm, a disturbance took place in Strand Street, DOUGLAS. This was witnessed by members of the public that were in the area at the time. Following the incident, and with help from members of the public, police attended the scene and arrested those responsible. The persons responsible have been charged with public order offences.

Constable Ben Horan from Douglas Neighbourhood Policing Team is investigating a hit and run road traffic collision that occurred on Friday 3rd December 2010 at about 3:30 p.m.
At the stated time, a red Renault Clio was travelling along Alexander Drive, DOUGLAS. The Clio passed a parked white Mini, and as it did, it clipped its wing mirror on the parked vehicle, causing the passenger side mirror of the Clio to come totally off the car. The driver of the red Clio car failed to stop at the scene or inform the police of the accident. The registration of the red Renault Clio may begin with ‘GMN’.
Police are anxious to hear from anybody who may have been involved in, or seen the incident, or know of a red Renault Clio missing the passenger side wingmirror.

At about 1:30am on Tuesday 30th November 2010 an incident occurred in the area of Derby Square Gardens at its junction with Albert Terrace where a female was assaulted. Police are interested to speak with anyone who may have knowledge of the incident and were in the area at the time, in particular a member of the public who may have been out walking a dog. PC Jane Irvine of DNPT said “We are keen to locate anyone who may have heard or seen anything and in particular we are keen to speak to two males also seen in the area that may have knowledge of what happened”.

Police are investigating vandalism caused to a motor vehicle on Queens Promenade in the area of Paramount City over the weekend.
The vehicle, which is a silver coloured Volkswagen Grafter appears to have been ‘keyed’ along with passenger side wing, resulting in damage to the paintwork.
Police are keen to speak with anyone who was may have witnessed this over the weekend.
