Manx Telecom Staff Get on Their Bikes For Children In Need

Manx Telecom staff raised over ?1,500 for the Children In Need appeal from a range of events, including staff taking part in an indoor triathlon, part of the Barclays Wealth Triathlon at the Barclays branch in Victoria Street, Douglas. The event was open to staff from those companies sponsoring the Commonwealth Youth Games which the Isle of Man will host in September 2011. Competitors took turns on exercise bikes, rowing machines and step machines. As part of its Children In Need events Manx Telecom also organised cake stalls, dress down days and other activities which contributed to the company’s fundraising total. Manx Telecom staff Aaron Livsey, Keith Hawes, Nigel Owen, Dave Purves, Jon Huyton and Andy Pirie were in the triathlon team. - ENDS -
