Santa's Busiest Year Yet

by isleofman.com 9th December 2010
With over 800 passengers on the Santa Train’s last weekend, this coming Saturday and Sunday are looking to be the busiest yet with well over 1,000 tickets already sold. Santa and his helpers are working hard to ensure the grotto is ready and presents are prepared. Chestnut the Elf, Chief Elf to Santa commented: “It is wonderful that so many Santa Trains have been provided this year, including the option to travel from Port Erin. This means Santa and I can give out even more presents than last year to the good boys and girls of the Isle of Man .” This year’s Santa Train’s have been a great success, the last opportunity to travel to Tinseltown on them is Saturday the 18th, so do book your tickets early to ensure you do not miss out on seeing Santa in his new Christmas Kingdom. Hon David Cretney MHK, Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure commented: “One of the many great advantages of travelling to Tinseltown by train are the magnificent, snow covered scenes currently available from the carriage window, a truly breathtaking way to see the Island this winter.” Tickets are available now from Santa’s helpers at the Welcome Centre, pop in or call 662525 to book yours.
