by isleofman.com 13th December 2010
Between approximately 10pm on Saturday the 11th December 2010, and 2am on Sunday the 12th December 2010, a set of car keys to a black Mercedes A200 car, with the registration JMN618X, as well as two Nokia mobile phones were taken from within an address in Glen Falcon Terrace, Douglas. The car, which belonged to the occupants of the address, was later found abandoned in the area of Windy Corner, on the Mountain Road. Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area of Glen Falcon Terrace during those times, who saw the car being driven between those times, or who has been offered either a Nokia 6500 or Nokia 6310 mobile phone for sale in the last few days. Constable Lee states ”Fortunately, this type of incident is extremely rare on the Isle of Man, but I would urge all homeowners to check and ensure that their doors and windows are fully secure when leaving their property, particularly around this festive time of the year.” Anyone who may have been in the area or saw anything of the incident is urged to contact Police Constable 96 Lee at Douglas Police Headquarters on 631212.
