Police in the south of the Island have been investigating criminal damage that was caused to the Christmas light display in the ‘Enchanted Forrest’ in Castletown Square. This took place sometime overnight on Sunday 13th December . Pc Kennaugh, who is the officer in charge of this case, would like to let the residents of Castletown know that those responsible for this damage have been identified and reported for offences. She would like to thank the public for their assistance and their diligence in ensuring that such incidents are rare and not repeated. Sgt Rob Scully, Castletown Police “Although I am more than delighted that PC Kennaugh’s tenacity has managed to identify those responsible, with assistance from members of the public. It saddens me that certain individuals who live and work within the Castletown community, gain gratification from causing damage to other people’s property, particularly in this instance where the display’s sole purpose was intended to give enjoyment to the community as a whole” Ends
