by isleofman.com 20th December 2010
If you are ready to take the Manx Museum Relic Challenge, visit the Manx Museum this Christmas Holiday to join in the History of the World Relic Trail! The Manx Museum Relic Trail is launched in collaboration with the T.V. series Relic: Guardians of the Museum and developed in partnership with the British Museum and CBBC. Many young viewers have watched the 13 part children’s game show on CBBC in which children are summoned to the British Museum by spooky tour guide Agatha, having just one night to uncover the secrets of a relic held inside the museum! The T.V. series Relic: Guardians of the Museum, was awarded the prestigious ‘entertainment’ award at the BAFTA (British Academy of Film and Television Arts) Children’s Awards 2010 last week with series creators, Rob Hyde and Ollie Brack collecting the Entertainment award for their work on the CBBC programme. Allison Fox Curator of Archaeology Manx National Heritage said; ‘Children and families are invited to undertake the History of the World Challenge unveiling the secrets of the 10 most prized objects within the Manx Museum Galleries.’ Visit the Manx Museum this Christmas Holiday to take the Relic trail challenge and collect your Guardians of the Museum certificate!
