No Sad Songs For Sir Elton VIP Ticket Winners

by isleofman.com 21st December 2010
Two lucky winners of a Manx Telecom competition will receive VIP tickets to Sir Elton John’s concert next year, including a Champagne reception and a back stage tour. Carol Crane from Ramsey, and David Baker from Douglas, won the ‘money can’t buy’ tickets in a competition which was open to all Manx Telecom mobile customers. It will be the first time Carol has seen Sir Elton in concert, but not the first for husband Stuart who will be her guest at the show on June 16. Carol said: “I couldn’t believe it when Manx Telecom phoned up to say I had won the tickets. It’s really exciting.” David Baker said he was looking forward to the show which he will attend with his wife Amy, who is a keen Sir Elton fan. Photographers will greet the winners and their guests when they arrive at Valhalla Tent venue in Noble’s Park. Caricature artists will be available to create mementoes for them and their guests. In the VIP marquee the winners will find a hot and cold buffet and be entertained by a magician, a pianist and a silhouette artist. When they take their places in the Platinum area seats they will also be given a souvenir programme. Concert promoter Ben Martin, of Marshall Arts, said David and Carol and their guests were in for an unforgettable evening. Ben said: “Sir Elton’s concerts are always memorable occasions, as you would expect from one of the world’s greatest entertainers. But for David and Carol the evening promises to be a once in a lifetime experience as they will be given VIP treatment from the moment they arrive at the Valhalla Tent. They can look forward to a night they will never forget.” - ENDS -
