Road Closure In Peel For Gas Pipeline Laying Work

by isleofman.com 6th January 2011
Essential work by Manx Gas as part of the Natural Gas Extension Project will take place in the Ballaquane Road area of Peel from 12 January until the end of the month. The work will see the closure of the Poortown Road from Ballalough Farm to Ballaquane Road for the laying of a new gas pipeline which will enable the new high pressure natural gas supply point to be connected to the existing gas infrastructure in the town. “Manx Gas will do its utmost to minimise the inevitable inconvenience but this is essential work which will ultimately result in natural gas and all its benefits being made available to people living and working in the area,” said Andy Bainton, Manx Gas distribution manager. He added that access to Ballalough Farm will be maintained and advance warning signage will be displayed at appropriate locations. Ends
