News of the Madeira flights comes as major tour operator, Thomas Cook, in their first year flying from The Isle of Man, has launched a second destination from the Island. Following the announcement that they will be flying direct from Ronaldsway to Majorca on 4th June, 2011, Thomas Cook are now also offering Ibiza departing on Sunday 5th June.
Other charters available include Croatia, Portugal, Lake Garda, Sorrento and the ever popular Ski flights to Geneva.
“2011 is shaping up to be the best yet to escape direct from the Isle of Man,” stated Richard Howarth of Regency Travel. “Direct flights are increasing in popularity and we are delighted that Thomas Cook and Atlantic Holidays now have the confidence to offer flights from the Island. Residents have been eagerly awaiting the chance to have a wide choice of destinations and departure dates direct from the Island and 2011 is the year that this has become a reality”.
In total, 17 different direct holidays are available and prices start from only ?349 per person. The disruption to flights from UK airports during 2010 underlined the huge advantages of the reliability and cost effectiveness of direct flights from The Isle of Man and the worry associated with transfers is removed.
“There are also currently some great offers including free child places available, but these offers don’t last forever” added Richard. “Our advice is to book early to grab the best deals and avoid disappointment as these flights could fill quickly. We also urge everyone to support our direct flights, so that 2011 can become a firm foundation for an even wider choice in the future”.
