Police in the West of the island are appealing for help in tracing a missing teenage girl. Katie Thomas 14years from Kirk Michael has been missing since Friday 7th January 2011. Katie since being reported missing, was sighted in the Douglas area at approx. 2.20pm on Saturday 8th January 2011, and has been in phone communication with Police although at this time she is refusing to return home. Katie is 5ft 2ins tall, medium build, with dyed dark red hair that is shoulder length but is likely to be in a ponytail. She was wearing blue jeans, a grey and purple ‘Lonsdale’ hooded top and grey woollen boots”. Police believe that Katie is likely to be in the Douglas area and would urge anyone who has information regarding her whereabouts to please make contact with Police Headquarters on 631212 or Peel Police Station on 842208.
