Lord Boyce Presents Awards To Members of Peel Lifeboat Crew

Lord Boyce national Chairman of the RNLI visited Peel, Isle of Man lifeboat station on Saturday 8th. January During an informal visit to Peel station on Saturday Lord Boyce presented long service badges to mechanic Paul Cain and crewman Tim Crookall MHK for long service to the RNLI. Both had joined the station in 1987 with Paul appointed mechanic in 1991. The presentation was carried out in the crew room where Lord Boyce met boat and shore crew members along with members of the ladies guild and local chairman Stuart Blackley with his committee. Lord Boyce thanked everyone present for their hard work and said that without all the volunteers the RNLI would not survive during these hard times. Lord Boyce went on to visit other stations and to attend the church service the following day in memory of Sir William Hillary the founder of the RNLI Ends
