by isleofman.com 13th January 2011
Santander’s offshore savings subsidiary Alliance & Leicester International Ltd has donated 150 chocolate filled mugs to three local charities as a seasonal gesture, and these were to be given to the individuals the charities assist during the cold period. The filled mugs were presented to the chosen charities on the 22 December at the Alliance & Leicester International branch on Prospect Hill, Isle of Man Douglas. The mugs were presented by George Campbell, Community Affairs Manager of Alliance & Leicester International to representatives of the following charities: Crossroads Caring for Carers, Age Concern and Project 21. George Campbell, Community Affairs Manager commented on the initiative – “We wanted to do something to bring a little cheer to those affected by the recent cold spell. Hopefully now they can enjoy a drink of tea or coffee in their new mug as well as sampling the chocolates that went along with their mugs.” -ENDS-
