TT 2010 On Bike Blu-ray Experience Released

by isleofman.com 19th January 2011
This year, for the first time, all on-board footage from the Isle of Man TT was captured by High Definition cameras, ensuring the rider’s-eye view was captured on film like never before. Now, thanks to this advance in coverage by North One Television, Duke can bring fans the ultimate on-bike TT experience – full on-board laps of the legendary Mountain Course captured in HD and available on the Blu-ray format. TT 2010 On Bike Blu-ray Experience allows viewers to join road racing’s biggest names for the white-knuckle thrill-ride of a lifetime, with stunning, pin-sharp footage taking them closer to the action than ever. Every lap was recorded during racing at the 2010 TT using state-of-the-art HD cameras and the exceptional quality will have viewers leaping back from the screen as walls, hedges and houses flash past just inches away at speeds approaching 200mph. With forward and rear-facing cameras fans can share every bump, jump, wheelie, wobble and every moment of stomach-churning acceleration. Although the Official TT reviews for 2009 and 2010 were released on Blu-ray, this is the first time complete onboard TT laps have been available in the HD format. However, the move to Blu-ray not only means viewers can experience complete on-bike laps in High Definition for the first time, they can also see the drama of each unfold sector by sector. Using data from TT Live!, the live timing service offered by iomtt.com (the official website of the Isle of Man TT), each lap is accompanied by on-screen graphics showing just how fast the bike is travelling through each of six sectors. Keep an eye out for the 143mph average one star achieves between the Grandstand and Ramsey! Plus you see the maximum speed hit through the Sulby Speed Trap. There are nine laps to enjoy, from the Superbike, two Supersport, Senior and TT Zero races as viewers travel alongside Cameron Donald, Keith Amor, Michael Dunlop, Guy Martin, John McGuinness, Ian Hutchinson and Mark Miller. Among the breathtaking highlights are McGuinness setting an average speed of 130.729mph on his 1000cc Honda, Miller showing what electric racing looks like from a shoulder-mounted HD camera, history man Ian Hutchinson on his way to a record-breaking fifth TT win in a week and Martin adding his unique brand of commentary, including the shocking moment when Adrian Archibald sweeps in front at Barregarrow. You may have seen on-bike footage from the TT before, but the arrival of HD on-board cameras allows fans to experience it like never before, showing in the most incredible detail ever the bravery, skill and commitment it takes to race at the Isle of Man TT. TT 2010 On Bike Blu-ray Experience is Out Now on DVD, priced at ?19.99 and will be available from leading video outlets or direct from Duke Video: Tel 01624 640 000, fax 01624640 001 or email mail@dukevideo.com.
