Junior Achievement Isle of Man Forms Fundraising Committee

by isleofman.com 24th January 2011
Junior Achievement Isle of Man needs to raise in the region of ?300,000 annually to reach every student in primary and secondary education in the Island. To this end development officer Tina Edge has formed a volunteer fundraising committee. Tina said: ‘A committee of volunteers has been set up to help fundraise and provide practical support at events throughout the year. We’re enormously grateful to the 10 people who have come forward so far but we’d welcome more as we have a packed programme planned for 2011 and beyond. Our next event is a bag packing day at Shoprite in Chester Street, Douglas on February 26 from 10am to 4pm, and I’d like to hear from anyone who can spare a couple of hours to help.’ Junior Achievement Isle of Man is a Manx-registered charity dedicated to helping the island’s young people gain essential skills for when they leave full-time education. The charity’s vision is to deliver Junior Achievement programmes to all 12,000 students in full-time education in the Isle of Man. To help support the work of Junior Achievement Isle of Man, call Tina Edge on 666266 or email tina@jaiom.im.
